General Questions

  • Which incidents are appropriate for milling?
The incidents which are being milled are cement retained abutments, screw retained abutments, screw retained bridges, screw retained hybrid bars, attached overdenture bars, simple crowns and bridges.
  • What should I look for when I design a framework for milling?
Milling is a difficult area. Especially in dentistry  the milling machines cut at extremely high accuracy. This means that tools must be protected from breakage. How can we achieve that? With well designed frameworks. The ideal frameworks should have a smooth surface without edges, not intense tooth anatomy, interdental spaces bigger than 1mm (if possible) and height not bigger than 18mm. Additional  for crowns it’s important  to do not have undercuts inside  the cavity area.
  • Which is the maximum tilt I should give when I design a cement retained abutment?
Our milling machine can mill up to 40 degrees without any problem.  For more tilt depends on each case. In this occasion is better to send us the case in order to check it.
  • How can I send a file to Dentamil?
There are two ways to receive a file, either Skype or email
  • Which files are necessary to send for milling?
From Exocad  cad  system except from the STL file we need the file construction info. From 3Shape cad system except from the STL file we need  the files  3OX and PTS. Finally from Dental wings cad system except from the STL file we need the file hdpp.  In Dental wings it’s necessary to activate this format via the path settings-material management-output formats and then choose the Hyperdent format
  • Which is the estimated delivery time?
The estimated delivery time depends on each case. Indicative for a 3unit restoration takes up until 2 working days and  for a screw retained hybrid bar takes up until 5 working days.
  • How can I pick up the restoration?
Our customers can pick up from our place the restoration or we can send the restoration to our customers area via courier service.
