Cobalt Chrome

SYSTEM SOFT-BLANK is a nickel- and beryllium-free chrome/cobalt disc, type 4.
One of the remarkable features of SYSTEM SOFT-BLANK is the high corrosion resistance
and biocompatibility. SYSTEM SOFT-BLANK is suitable for soldering and lasering.
SYSTEM SOFT-BLANK is especially soft, good tensile and homogeneous.

Detach of the Framework

Detach the framework and single parts for bridges, crowns and prosthesis with suitable hard metal mills or cutting wheels, then slur/grind. The thickness of the cap should not fall below 0,2–0,3 mm.

Recommended for single use

You should always use new casting material, as after repeated casting of the alloy important elements will evaporate and an optimum bonding between metal and ceramic is no longer guaranteed.

Ceramic

An oxide firing (10 Min. 980°C atmospheric) is not urgently necessary. Then sandblast the frames with new aluminium oxide 110 my (preferably Korosan) and clean. Using a bonder is positive for the metal-ceramic-bond. Wash- and opaquer firing according to ceramic handling instructions. A long time cooling is not necessary after adequate testing.

Soldering and Welding

Commercially available solder on cobalt base is suitable for soldering. Never use gold- or palladium solder for the soldering of NE objects among themselves

Cleaning

in ultrasonic bath or with steam blasting.
